Day 1: Understanding the Design Thinking Process

Introduction to Design Thinking (Morning)

  • Overview of Design Thinking

  • Key principles and mindset

  • Importance of a human-centric approach

Empathise (Morning)

  • Techniques for understanding user needs

  • Conducting effective user (discovery) interviews

  • Developing empathy maps

Define (Afternoon)

  • Defining problem statements

  • Crafting user personas

  • Creating a focused problem statement for the design challenge

Ideate (Afternoon)

  • Brainstorming methods

  • Divergent and convergent thinking

  • How to encourage and capture creative ideas

Day 2: Applying the Design Thinking Process

Prototype (Morning)

  • Introduction to prototyping

  • Building low-fidelity prototypes

  • Iterative prototyping and feedback loops

Session 6: Test (Morning)

  • Importance of user testing

  • Conducting effective tests

  • Iterative design based on user feedback

Session 7: Hands-On Workshop: Design Challenge (Afternoon) Participants will engage in a comprehensive design challenge applying the five steps of the design thinking process.
